REAR GATE CALF MODEL Elevated Calf Hutchs The Preferred Housing for Raising Newborn Calves to Weaning Age. The original Calf Hutch is a portable housing unit, containing four individual Rear Loading Gate calf stalls. This 4 calf unit hutch measures 10’ x 5’ and provides 2 1/2’ x 5’ for each individual calf. It is elevated 9” from the ground and has several benefits over the traditional wood calf hutch. Each hutch is constructed of galvanized steel providing a longer lasting life and is easily cleaned, minimizing the cost of upkeep and replacement.
